This article from Disruptive Telephony offers one of the most balanced and comprehensive articles on the .tel TLD I have seen to date.
Do read the comments as well because they offer an intelligent and careful discussion/debate (no name calling or anger).
Some of the article is pretty technical (at least for a non-techie like me), but you'll get the general idea of the pros and cons regarding .tel.
At a later time, I will discuss the .tel domains I have registered (and why I tried for them), but I'm not sure if I even have them--some confusion and technical glitches still remain from yesterday's Landrush.

Hello Ms Domainer,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your "balanced" posts regarding .tel. I concur with the bulk of your observations and have a feeling that .tel has the potential to be a real game changer. Not one to rival .com mind you, but certainly, if properly marketed, one that the masses could adapt and warm up to (ie. ---> potential profits).
It will be interesting to see how the major corporations and media (eg. American Idol) make use of the new extension.
I'm testing the waters with Condo.tel, Condos.tel, Jokes.tel, Gossip.tel and Pink.tel.
I'll also be analyzing .tel om my blog.
Cheers,
Scott
My name is Julia, and I work for Dotster. I wanted to thank you for registering your .tel domains through Dotster! We heard through Twitter that you were having some issues, and I was wondering how we could be of service. Please feel free to email me.
